NeuroShell 2 Components for Delphi

Applied Analytic Systems created the TNs2Server component set to help ease the process of interfacing a Delphi application with the runtime DLL server supplied with Ward Systems Group's NeuroShell® 2 Professional Neural Network Development System.

TNs2Server replaces TNeural version 1.x, and includes two new components, the TNs2TableServer and TNs2QueryServer, which allow developers to process database table data through the dll server, using a trained NeuroShell 'def' file. An Ns2QueryServer or Ns2TableServer will work with any BDE compliant tables for which the end-user has the appropriate IDAPI dll drivers.

The set consists of three components for each of Delphi 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0. Each of these components is described below.

The Basic Wrapper Component

TNs2Server is the basic Delphi wrapper component for the NeuroShell 2 DLL Server. It greatly facilitates the integration process for NeuroShell 2 developers designing user interfaces to their neural network systems in 16 and 32-bit Delphi in executing their trained networks using the runtime DLL.

There are no new Events associated with the Ns2Server component. The properties and methods are explained in detail in the accompanying help file.

Database Table Component

The TNs2TableServer component combines the functionality of the Delphi VCL TTable with that of the basic TNs2Server component. This extends the functionality of TNs2Server by adding database connectivity. Using Ns2TableServer, the developer can provide the users of his/her application the ability to process data contained in a database table record through the trained neural network. This component also includes plotting and processing methods to allow analyses of table data.

Database Query Component

The TNs2QueryServer component combines the functionality of the Delphi VCL TTQuery with that of the basic TNs2Server component. Using Ns2QueryServer, the developer can provide the users of his/her application the ability to use SQL to select data records and process them through the trained neural network. Like the TNs2TableServer, TNs2QueryServer includes plotting and processing methods to allow analyses of data.

Plotting Capabilities
